About Us

Portals and Community, from these two expressions is where we got our name "Portunity".

Portunity GmbH is specialized in the development of community and content management software (CMS). Creating content and updating information in the Internet, Intranet and Extranet is made much simpler to organize and substantially more efficient.

Back in 1995 we were already creating Internet sites, web design and developing dynamic web applications. In 1996 we entered the market as an Internet Service Provider with our own dialin- and server-infrastructure. Today our Internet Providing department is a successful provider of Internet full services for our business customers.

Our experience was built on creating numerous regional portals (city nets) and web applications for our clients and on our experience as software developers for "Community" programs. In 1999 a completely new comprehensive content management system was developed based on our single applications and solutions from the past. Our vision in the development of this program was to create an infrastructure for networked sites in order to build portal landscapes.

Only 6 months after release of our "Portalsuite 2000" we can boast of more than 300 solutions for users from many different providers in Germany and the USA. And as of March 1st, 2000 we became incorporated in order to support and focus our strengths.

Based on our years of Web experience, we see vertical and corporate portals as the fundamental communication platform of the future and in the networking the next generation of the Internet. The solutions and products to be equipped for the future are what we can provide you with.
