Brief Overview

Perform the following steps in order to install the Portalsuite.

1. Apply a new data base onto the MySQL server.
2. Make sure that the web server is able to access this data base (as the case may be adapt your authorisations) and keep your access data ready.
3. Follow the SQL-instructions in the file ps2002.sql in the Portalsuite directory /global/install for the applied Portalsuite 2002 data base.
4. Unpack the downloaded Portalsuite-file.
5. As the case may be, adapt the file authorisations in a way that the web server is able to access all directories and data, the directories „/tmp“ and „/media“ need full reading and writing authorisations.
6. Adapt the configuration file „config.ini“ in the Portalsuite directory „/global/config“ regarding the data base parameters.
7. Configure your web server in a way that the Portalsuite directory is accessible on the internet and on the intranet under an IP address, a sub domain or a full domain.
8. Make sure that PHP 4.0.4 or higher is available with the modules „gd“, „mysql“ and „imap4“ for the file extension „.php“.
9. Make sure that the „Zend Optimizer“ is installed and activated.
10. Login into the Reseller Center and upload the contained registration key.
11. Alter the path variables in the Reseller Center according to your local directories.
