Introduction

This introduction is based on the assumption that you have already some practical experiences with the Portalsuite 2002.

Knowledge in PHP is a further assumption, especially you should be familiar with the concepts of object-oriented programming

Besides several general notations on the OOP and the conception of our Portalsuite objects class hierarchy we demonstrate how the Portalsuite objects classes are interconnected by inheritance. Once you know the properties

and methods of the Portalsuite object classes, you will see how the classes retrofit and define each other - and you will see the special features as well as their functionality, how to use and alter them for your own portal applications.
