Hints on the Light Version

Nearly all settings regarding search engines of the Portalsuite Advanced version are missing in the Light version. You cannot deposit keywords in articles, in the categories the meta information fields are missing, the template command „PrintMetas“ is not available and the flag, with which the linking for the „rewriting rules“ is activated, is missing as well.

Of course Light portals can be registered in search engines as well. In order to do so, you apply the meta information manually into the HTML head area in the template, which then of course are valid global for all pages. You can also deposit special meta information for some pages, e. g., the home page.

You can also activate the „rewriting rules“ on the web server as described above. The rewriting rules are compatible with the Light version. Merely the modified linking is not available. Therewith at least the HTML versions of the web pages are available on the internet.

Afterwards you only have to enlist the most important HTML pages into the search engines manually.
