User Interface and Applications

The trisection into the different main applications „Reseller Center“, „Content Manager“ and „Administration Center“ has been maintained, separate from the fact that they are accessible under one common IP resp. domain and are interlinked in the so-called Jumppoint, the Portalsuite-start page. Alternatively the three applications can be called via the subdirectories „/reseller“, „/content“ and „/admin“. Of course you could also apply sub domains which link to these subdirectories automatically.

For the first time the three applications are not available only in German and English but also in further languages like French, Dutch, and Italian. Further languages are projected.

The root user resp. root administrator is not of same denominator with the portal name anymore but named „root“ independent from the portal name.

The Portalsuite 2002 user interface has been redeveloped and redesigned entirely. The menu has been relocated from the left frame into the head area and replaced by icons uncommitted to any language. The menu icons are present permanently and do not have to be opened or shut anymore like in previous versions. That saves many mouse clicks. Below the icons there is a quick search, always visible as well, dependent from the application you can search for articles, media files, templates, portals etc. The login name is now indicated on the right and has got more designated space so that line breaks should not happen anymore. The lower main area is subdivided into the left overview area, the large work space in the middle and the narrow button area on the right. Through this trisection, which is designed optimally for processes of a Content Management System, a lot is optimised and rationalized. Besides, in redesigning the user interface we set great value on a modern, professional and reliable design which, on the other hand, does not distract but follow function. The new design valorises the Portalsuite 2002 significantly and helps you with your daily work productive.
