Portalsuite Function „PrintCategoryArticles“

Meanwhile we already got to know several template functions of the Portalsuite. Now it is about time to learn how to place contents from the Content Manager into templates.

For preparation please go first into the Content Manager and add some articles there. Assign two or three articles to the category "news", and a few further articles to some other categories (approx. 4-7 altogether). Mind that the articles have a headline, a summary, a block-text and are - besides the category allocation - also released. You can leave the release and expiry date empty.

After these preparations we amend our first template in the Administration Center:

Both articles are shown. If you click onto other categories, the allocated and released articles of each category appear. You may hereby notice that this does not count for the product template. Yet this is logical since the "PrintCategoryArticles" function call has to be added there as well. Now experiment a little with the release and expiry date in the Content Manager or with the release flag a. o. in order to become familiar with the functionality.

Next please define two stylesheets named "headlines" and "summaries" for the tags "h1" and ".summary". You can influence appearance resp. typography with these two stylesheets.
