Classes’ Reference

This chapter contains elaborate information in one article on all Portalsuite object classes, which are sorted in alphabetical order. Each article starts with a descrition of the general function and way of use of each class. Afterwards all data elements of the underlying SQL data base and element functions are described.

On the use of the classes’ reference

If you are looking for information on a certain class of Portalsuite objects, please note that each object may have inherited many functions and properties from its ancestors. Within the articles we decribe the new as well as the overwritten properties and functions, only.

Let’s assume, you want to inform yourself on the object PContentProduct and the function Field. At first you look up in the article on PContentProduct and recognize that the function Field is missing. PContentProduct is a descendant of PContentArticle. If you look up there, you will find the function Field. PContentProduct has inherited this function from PContentArticle. Other functions may origin from from even more distant ancestors.

In order to ease keeping an overview on the inheritance tree and the parentage, we placed a link to the ancestor at the beginning of each article.
